'Sri Yantra' design - 9" Singing Bowl
Handmade singing bowl exquisitely decorated with sacred geometry. This bowl has a very low sound and sings at F1/F2 other sounds vary according to mallet but include C4. It has a single thickness rim so gives out strong vibrations.
The Sri Yantra design in the centre comprises nine interlocking triangles, it embodies complex symbolism. Four upward triangles signify Shiva, while five downward triangles represent Shakti, encompassing the cosmic and human realms around a central point called the bindu. It symbolises the union of masculine and feminine divine energies.
Other designs on the bowl are the lotus chakra symbols and Dorje and Double Dorje for protection.
It’s believed that when the bow is struck the energies from the symbols and mantras carved into the bowl are released into the world.
Your bowl comes with two strikers ( one felt and one dual-surface mallet) and cushion (cushion style and colour may vary).
